The Harts Group has announced that El Pastor’s Pastorcito has closed its doors at the Mercato Metropolitano.

The group, behind restaurants which include the Barradina branch in Covent Garden, Kings Cross and Soho and El Pastor group, opened its site in August this year.

El Pastor was developed by Sam Hart and his brother James, alongside, Crispin Somerville.

Mercato Metropolitano was home to the second Pastorcito site, which joined the first branch at the Arcade Food Theatre in West London

Commenting on the closure, the group said: “ We would like to thank MM for the opportunity to be part of their vibrant market in Elephant and Castle

“We have decided to take the Pastor family forward by concentrating our resources into developing our existing restaurants El Pastor, Tortilleria EP, Casa and Plaza Pastor, and exploring other opportunities more akin to these. Pastorcito continues to serve Mexican market tacos at Arcade Food Theatre.”
