Table 22 restaurant at Old House Hotel in Wickham has announced it closed its doors.

Masterchef runner-up, Greg Emmerson, opened the restaurant at the Old House Hotel in December last year as part of a £250,000 revamp under the owners of GA Gourmet.

In March this year Emmerson announced he was “no longer involved” with the restaurant.

On the weekend the restaurant posted on social media that GA Gourmet would be shutting down the restaurant immediately.

A letter written by operational director Tom Hopkins said: “The reasons for closing the restaurant are due to circumstances beyond the company’s control and it is a huge disappointment that the company has had to reach this decision.”
