A new brasserie, Moncks of Dover Street, is set to open in Mayfair next month (July), and is from the team behind the Park Chinois restaurant, which opened in 2015.

The inspiration behind the name for the restaurant comes from Christopher Moncks, who owned Clarendon House, Dover Street, Albemarle Street and Bond Street in the 16th Century.

The restaurant will be open throughout the day, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner services. The kitchen is led by executive chef Gennaro Vitto and head chef, Valentino Pepe, who have been working alongside each other at Park Chinois since 2012.

The breakfast menu includes, truffled benedict or the full vegan, spins on classic dishes the all-day menu, Caesar salad with roasted, corn fed chicken or sole meunière with toasted almonds for lunch.

In addition, the evening menu includes pan-fried monkfish with seafood jus, seasonal vegetables and gremolata or roasted baby leg of lamb with spiced couscous, sautéed shallots, apricots and pomegranates.
