A new Italian cafe named Latteria is set to open in London’s Islington area from 29 March.

Latteria will open on Essex Road and offer an all-day menu inspired by the “pasticceria, panino shops and pizzerias” of Milan, according to owner Giuliano Lotto. Lotto is also behind the launch of London’s La Petite Maison and Zafferano restaurants, with his new venture set to open in the former location of Food Lab.

The cafe will make all of its pastries, pizza dough and fresh pasta in house with ingredients sourced from Lotto’s native Italy. The restaurant is yet to confirm a full menu however it has said it will offer “breakfast eggs with Parma ham, hollandaise on brioche toast” along with “Tuscan bacon, butter beans, sausage and fried brioche toast”.
