Roti King has announced it is to open a second restaurant in London’s Victoria following its Euston branch.

The Malay specialist will open in Victoria’s new Market Halls Victoria development alongside Koya and The Marksman. Kalpana Sugendran Sugendran, Roti King’s owner has been looking for a location for a second restaurant since last year with a Bloomsbury site rumoured.

It was speculated that Sugendran was in competition with Stevie Parle for the former Byron Burgers site in Bloomsbury, with Parle denying rumours saying he would “bow out for a Roti King” if they were true.

Other restaurants at the new site will offer noodles and dashi broths in the case of Koya, and beef and barley buns in the case of The Marksman. The Marksman’s founders described Market Halls Victoria as a “beautiful, characterful building in one of London’s busiest stations”.
