Shake Shack has opened a new restaurant at Bullring and Grand Central, debuting its first location in the Midlands at the destination.
Situated in Grand Central, the 2,866 sq ft restaurant offers Shake Shack’s core menu, including breakfast burgers, its signature “ShackBurger”, crinkle-cut fries, flat-top dogs and hand-spun shakes.
The burger chain joins a series of international F&B and leisure brands to open in Bullring and Grand Central, including Lane 7, Sandbox, Toca Social, Slim Chickens, Mrs Chew’s Chinese Kitchen, Mowgli and Five Guys.
Katy Letch, head of leasing at Hammerson, said: “Shake Shack is the latest international brand to make its debut at Bullring & Grand Central, further adding to the F&B choice available in its unique style. Combined with our existing line-up of leading names in the hospitality sector, together with our comprehensive leisure offer, Bullring and Grand Central is the number one hub for dining and socialising in Birmingham.”
Colin O’Kane, managing director at Diverse Dining Ltd, operator of the Shake Shack brand in the UK, added: “With locations across London and the South East, expanding the Shake Shack portfolio to new regions in the UK is a key part of our strategic growth plan, and this debut Midlands site at Bullring and Grand Central is a very important milestone.
“As the country’s second-biggest city, we’ve had Birmingham in our sights for a while, and situated above the bustling Birmingham New Street Station, Grand Central is the ideal destination for our regional first.”
