The owner of Wolseley Hospitality Group has reportedly drafted in restructuring advisers to advise on cost management issues. According to Sky News, Minor Hotels has appointed AlixPartners to advise on these issues at Wolseley Hospitality Group, whose portfolio includes The Wolseley, The Delaunay and Brasserie Zédel, among others.

The talks, which are said to be at an early stage, could lead to a “range of outcomes”, sources told Sky.

Sky noted it was “unclear” what had prompted the re-engagement with AlixPartners, however.

Thai-based Minor Hotels regained control of the company from Jeremy King in 2022, and has since looked to expand it, having recently opened a Wolseley-branded outlet in the City.

A spokeswoman for the Thai-based company told Sky: “Minor Hotels works with a wide range of advisors, including AlixPartners, across our businesses on a variety of strategic matters.

“This collaborative approach is a common practice for companies looking to leverage external expertise for continuous business improvement.”

Minor Hotels has been contacted for further comment.
