Bar group Vagabond’s two sites within Gatwick Airport have been acquired out of administration by Airport Retail Enterprises (ARE).

Business advisory firm Quantuma completed the deal saving 122 jobs across the two sites.

This comes after Vagabond sold the majority of its stores to Majestic Wines back in April.

Quantuma was appointed as administrators of Vagabond Wines on 15 March 2024.

It traded the business which operated from twelve sites across London, the Southeast and Birmingham whilst it negotiated a sale.

Only the group’s Canary Wharf venue has closed as a result of the administration.

Andrew Andronikou, Quantuma managing director and joint administrator, said: “I am delighted to have achieved such great outcomes, which all told means the preservation of in excess of 300 jobs. Both acquirers are well positioned to provide funding and operational expertise to support the next phases of profitable growth for the businesses.”
