Voyagers restaurant opens in Liverpool

The restaurant name is a nod to the poem “A Voyager’s Dream of Land” by Duke Street-born poet Felicia Hemans

New restaurant Voyagers has officially opened its doors in Liverpool this week.

Located at 38 Parr Street in the heart of the Ropewalks district, the 70-seater restaurant with 100-seater bar, gives diners a mix of globally-inspired dishes with a local twist and a selection of 35 wines and signature cocktails.

The restaurant, whose name is a nod to the poem “A Voyager’s Dream of Land” by Duke Street-born poet Felicia Hemans, will serve up a dinner menu of small and large plates, plus an all-day option and afternoon tea.

The restaurant will have an open kitchen, led by head chef Jake Parry, who previously worked at The Woodcote Hotel in Hooton and Pinion in Prescot.

Voyagers is located inside the new hotel The Halyard at Ropewalks Liverpool.

Parry said: “I’m incredibly excited to finally be able to showcase what we have to offer at Voyagers. The team and I have worked hard to create a menu that not only gives diners the opportunity to explore new tastes through our small plates menu, but also enjoy old favourites.

“I’ve loved experimenting with different flavours to create our dishes, marrying up locally sourced ingredients to give a truly unique dish. Liverpool is constantly evolving in terms of its food and beverages scene and it’s fantastic to be a part of its story. I’m confident that we’re bringing something new and exciting that will eventually become a go-to eating spot for locals and visitors.”

Curtis Goodwin, restaurant and bar manager at Voyagers, said: “We firmly believe that we have brought something unique to Liverpool. We’re looking forward to what the next year, and beyond, has in store for Voyagers.”
