Soho restaurant Quo Vadis has revealed that it will reopen on 8 February 2023 following a refurbishment of its reception area and ground floor restaurant, which will be taking place between 2 January and 7 February.

The refurbishment efforts will reportedly double the restaurant’s covers to 40 in the public restaurant and also add a new black and white-striped awning to the exterior, with the restaurant’s initials branded on.

According to co-owner James Hart, who reimagined the space, the revolving door will be removed to create a “welcoming, though no less arresting, entrance”. The new door, which will have one large brass knocker, will be painted a ‘Red Stallion II’ shade.

Though the stained-glass windows will remain the same, the dining room will be upholstered in red Georgian-style dining sofas and a reclaimed Georgian wood floor.

Upon reopening in February 2023, the restaurant will also reportedly offer an updated menu including some celebratory dishes to mark the relaunch.

The venue has a private members’ club, which will not be affected by the restaurant refurbishment, with two bars and its own restaurant and two private dining rooms.
