Turin and Neapolitan pizza restaurant, Augusto Pizzeria, has revealed it opened a new site Chester, Northgate Street on 14 April.

The restaurant is the latest accomplishment of husband and wife Valentina Aviotti and Fabrizio Gobbato, owners of Da Noi on Bridge Street.

The pair said Augusto Pizzeria has been “years in the making” and is one of the first steps towards the creation of a complete Italian family of brands that embrace “all aspects” of Italian food and drink traditions.

The restaurant has appointed head chef Giovanni Recchia, originally from Turin, who will curate pizzas including Tuorli Pizza, paired with Nascetta, the Ligure Pizza, paired with Vermentino, and the Carbonara Pizza, paired with Ribolla Gialla.

Gobbato said: “We are so grateful to everyone who came out and supported our new venture. Chester is our home and we are beyond excited to add to its amazing restaurant scene with our authentic Italian pizzeria.”
