Chotto Matte has announced it is set to open a new sister restaurant in Marylebone Village in 2022 as well as three new sites globally.

Alongside the new London site, which will open in January, it will also open new restaurants in Doha, Riyadh and San Francisco. The plans will build upon its current locations London, Miami and Toronto.

Chotto Matte was founded by Kurt Zdesar, who has 30 years of experience in the global hospitality industry, where he was previously the European director of Nobu and also consulted for Alan Yau for the launch of Hakassan.

The Nikkei-inspired restaurant offers a “unique blend” of Japanese and Peruvian culinary traditions, with a menu that includes Nikkei staples such as Ceviche, Tiradito, Anticucho BBQ, Sushi, Sashimi and Tempura.

Zdesar said: “We are delighted to continue our expansion plans for Chotto Matte internationally. We cannot wait for the new phase of growth to allow more people to experience the very best of authentic innovative Nikkei cuisine, in stylish architectural spaces across the globe.”
