Chow Down, a food festival and pop-up space, has announced that it will launch permanently in Leeds.
The pop-up first opened last year, running for 10 weeks at Temple Arches in Leeds. The group has since taken over the site on a permanent basis.
The news comes as Chow Down also celebrates its one year anniversary, with the group launching its own brand new cocktail bar, Tipple.
The bar will be headed by Jake Speakman, who has developed a summer inspired drinks menu.
Matt Long, co-founder of Chow Down, said: “This area of Leeds has some amazing plans for the future and we can’t wait to be a part of that. It’s been incredible to see Chow Down grow over the last year, and cement itself as a permanent venue at Temple Arches.
“At Chow Down we have looked to support as many independent food traders as possible, and this year to date we have had over 50 vendors trade with us, helping out and actually kickstarting many of the hospitality scenes as we rotate the food as much as possible. Our drink supply is very much as local as possible, and is ever-rotating.”
Located at Temple Arches on Globe Road, Chow Down is a five minute walk from Leeds train station.
