Vegan restaurant brand, Stem and Glory, has announced the opening of a new larger site in central Cambridge.
The restaurant, which has been designed by Afroditi Krassa, fronts Station Road, just metres from the city’s railway station and houses a large outdoor terrace.
The site is built to service both dining and off-site sales, which is a rapidly growing part of the business, and alongside the A La Carte plant-based menu and a new vegan pizza concept.
The group has also partnered with The Akshaya Patra Foundation via a “meal for a meal” programme which means that for every meal sold at one of the restaurants, a meal will be donated to someone in need in India or the UK.
Louise Palmer-Masterton, founder, Stem and Glory, said: “We opened our doors last week with a soft launch event with our investors and since then we’ve been bowled over by the amazing support and the volume of diners booking with us in the past few days.
“Cambridge is our hometown and where Stem and Glory started life and it’s been great to see all our old customers again alongside a new generation of plant-based diners. We’ve upped our game at the new site with a more ambitious menu alongside a very well stocked vegan bar, including draft craft beer from our friends at Norfolk brewery Duration.”
She added: “At the new site we are working with the best of the best in the sustainable plant-based space and have an ambitious Carbon negative target.”
