Hospitality group Nightcap has announced the appointment of Dawn Donohoe as managing director at London Cocktail Club (LCC).

Joining from Enhanced Hospitality, the owner of Dingwalls and Shaka Zulu, Donohoe has also acted as an original senior team member at Urbium/Novus.

In total, she provides the role with over 20 years’ experience running premium bars and nightclubs, as well as pub and restaurant brands, private member clubs, and international franchises.

Sarah Willingham, CEO at Nightcap, said: “All of us at Nightcap are thrilled to have appointed someone of Dawn’s calibre and talent to drive the growth of London Cocktail Club.

“She has helped to launch and run a number of fantastic businesses over the years and has an unmatched track record in the late-night sector.”

She added that while “it’s sad” to see the outgoing Michelle Hall depart the group, she has left behind “an incredible business”.

Nightcap acquired LCC earlier this year, and intends to further extend its portfolio of sites across the UK.

The group claimed that it is currently negotiating “several new leases” as it looks to expand from 10 locations to 40 over the next five years.

Donogue said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the team at LCC. It’s a fantastic brand that I’ve admired for many years and I’m excited to be able to bring my love of the late-night sector and extensive management experience to the Nightcap team.

“Together we have ambitious plans to rejuvenate and reimagine the on-trade for the future.”
