Daniel Farrow, the owner of Norwich’s The Gatherers bar and restaurant, has announced a double expansion into London’s food market.

The chef is set to open Garden Club and Italiano Vegano in July as takeaway concepts, with the pandemic disrupting original plans to launch the venues as bricks and mortar sites.

Garden Club, a proposed indoor and outdoor garden bar and restaurant, will instead deliver “plant-based burgers, hot dogs, loaded fries, and shakes”.

Continuing Farrow’s sustainable, vegan food outlets, Italiano Vegano will offer plant-based authentic Italian cuisine.

The restaurant’s plant-based recipes come from Farrow’s own experience in the country, due to his residence in Abruzzo.

Moreover, the Norfolk chef’s first venture, The Gatherers, has seen trading return to full-capacity alongside the reopening of hospitality, first as an alfresco offering and now as with an indoor dining menu.
