Ticket sales have spiked 560% in England for the 30 days following 21 June when compared to the same period in 2019.
According to digital events and ticketing platform FIXR, the rise in demand, especially within the night-time economy, has outstripped a 90% increase in event listings.
Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales have seen a similar pattern, with event listings up 150% but ticket sales up 1,000% for the same period.
Edmund Glover, CEO at FIXR, said: “Our figures point towards huge pent-up demand from consumers – considerably outstripping supply – and heralding an exciting recovery for the country’s £60 billion night-time economy.
“However, the industry needs more support and guidance from the Government so venues and businesses across the nation can plan properly and make the most of the huge wave of enthusiasm from 21 June onwards.”
The group claimed that the majority of new events listed for the final stage of lockdown easing are nightclubbing, boat parties, and sports events.
While Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland have different timeframes for reopening, FIXR added that its figures “suggest a strong recovery for the events industry across the whole UK”.
