Restaurant chain Nando’s has announced it has opened a further 54 sites for delivery or click and collect today (26 may) and will also reopen an additional 40 sites tomorrow.

The news comes after it trialled around six sites in London and Manchester open to delivery for NHS staff last month.

Nando’s revealed that the restaurants reopening will mainly be located in cities such as Glasgow, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester and Belfast.

Along with the reopenings Nando’s said it has installed a series of new safety measures that include; checking in with staff before they work a shift to make sure they feel fit and well enough to come to work; reducing the number of people working within the restaurant; reducing its opening hours and menu; only accepting contactless payment too.

It also said it will be increasing cleaning practises within the restaurant including hand washing at “regular intervals” and providing customers and delivery riders with hand sanitiser.

The full list of 54 restaurants to be reopened today can be found here.
