Soho-based seafood restaurant Bonnie Gull has announced its closure today (31 January), after three years of trading.
Announcing the closure on Instagram, the restaurant said: “Sometimes great things too must end. This week we say goodbye to our beloved Bonnie Gull Soho after 3 glorious years of oysters, grilled fish and many many laughs. Our last service will be Friday evening. We hope you can join us before we close to help us say goodbye with a bang.”
The 22-cover restaurant opened in 2016, and featured dishes which included oysters and freshly caught fish.
The seafood restaurant was founded by Alex Hunter and Danny Clancy who started the business with a pop-up shop in Hackney. Bonnie Gull opened a site in Exmouth Market, but closed the site prior to the launch of its Soho restaurant.
In 2012, Bonnie Gull opened its Fitzrovia site, which continues to operate, although it is currently closed for refurbishment.
