Chef, food writer and broadcaster Gizzi Erskine will be joining St Martins Lane London for a three-month residency.Ā
The Nitery by Gizzi Erskine will run from St Martins Lane Kitchen between 13 February and 30 April 2020, bringing āplayfulā take on classic French, American and British dishes with ācarefully sourced produceā.
The menu features ābiodynamicā small plates, including devilled eggs with roast chicken crackling and oysters with yuzu kosho granita. Other dishes include roast beetroot and buttermilk soup, flagoelet dauphinoise and steak tartare with bone marrow. Sunday roasts and ānostalgicā desserts will also feature during her tenure at the London site.Ā Ā
The new restaurant is said to take inspiration from 20th Century Parisian āniteriesā, āhedonistic, bohemianā restaurants that were later adopted by America. āThe Niteryā will aim to create an āelectric, bon vivantā atmosphere in St Martins Lane Kitchen with āfun and inventiveā menus.Ā
Erskine has been an āintegralā part of the London food scene for over 15 years. She has previously collaborated with Mark Hix, Angela Hartnett and Tom Kerridge, and operated a series of pop-ups across the capital over the last two decades.
