The father and son duo behind Liquor Box and Pantry, Simon and Dan Barton, have acquired their second pub as part of a plan to run 10 pubs in the Kent area.
The White Horse pub in Sundridge will become the group’s first Star Pubs & Bars site, the pub had been closed for a couple of months before the takeover.
Liquor Box and Pantry were attracted to the pub by its potential and the absence of a similar individual gastro pub in the immediate vicinity. The group plans to repeat the success they’ve achieved at the Royal Oak in New Ash Green, where they won awards at the start of the year.
The takeover has seen a joint £150,000 refurbishment scheduled with Star Pubs & Bars, bringing the pub into the 21st century, creating a modern country style pub.
Simon and Dan’s plans for the pub include introducing craft beer and real ales from the Kent area, a menu of up to 15 gins as well as an extensive wine list and premium lagers and ciders.
