Indian restaurant Tamarind is set to reopen after it appointed new chefs Karunesh Khanna and Manav Tuli to lead the restaurant following its refurbishment.

The menu at the restaurant is expected to see changes aiming to challenge the UK perception of Indian dining and culture.

Tamarind’s refurbishment cost £4m and was carried out by Sagrada, who expanded the restaurants capacity and added new decor to make guests feel “like a member of a private club”.

Khanna said: “Tamarind are moving to a different level in the market, and the chance to be a part of this exciting journey and take an already fantastic brand to these new heights is something I found impossible to turn down.”

Tuli added: “We’ll be creating something new and exciting and I couldn’t resist this challenge.”
