Ayrshire hospitality group, SimpsInns, has announced a £250,000 redevelopment of one of its key venues in Irvine as it reintroduces The Potting Shed at Si.sI

Located just 40 minutes from Glasgow, The Potting Shed at Si will offer guests a range of breakfast and brunch options as it looks to create a new meeting place.

The group has kick-started a recruitment campaign for the new venue in Irvine, which will create up to 30 new jobs in spring 2023 following the opening.

The Potting Shed is on the ground-floor and will seat up to 80 people in the reimagined new space, that includes a dedicated dog-friendly area, relaxed and informal seating areas that are ideal for meeting friends, family and colleagues for coffee or brunch throughout the day.

Jack Simpson, senior management at SimpsInns, said: “We’ve shaken things up at Si! and are delighted to introduce one of Ayrshire’s trendiest new meeting places where flavours and ideas from our global travels have come together at The Potting Shed.”

“The Potting Shed is very much a casual thing. We’ll get the day started with great breakfast and brunch options. The griddle will be piping for those all-important homemade pancakes, packed, stacked and just the way you want them.”

He added: “The very best artisan food will be served throughout the day; from exquisite buns and mouth-watering sandwiches to Italian style pizza and tapas and much more to take you into the evening. A team of baristas and mixologists will also be on hand to serve specialty coffee and shake up a range of cocktails.”

SimpsInns owner Malcolm Simpson added: “Following a four-month, £250,000 makeover, we can’t wait to welcome guests to The Potting Shed and The Terrace from spring 2023. We’re committed to exceeding our guests’ expectations and continually invest in our hotel and leisure facilities to make them the very best they can be.

“In preparation for opening The Potting Shed and The Terrace, we’ve just launched a recruitment campaign to fill a range of professional hospitality roles, and for anyone looking to kick-start their hospitality career in 2023. We’re recruiting for chefs, front of house staff, an operations manager and many more roles with over 30 vacancies available to apply for now.”
