Chef Scott Paton has announced he will be launching his new restaurant, Àclèaf, in Devon

The site, which is set to open on 22 January, follows Paton undertaking a year of research in the run up to the launch.

He said that the main theme of the restaurant is “sourcing and showcasing the finest British produce”. A four and six course tasting menu will be on offer, with all food complemented by a range of English wines.

Paton chose Devon as the location for the new site in light of his “passion for the abundance of excellent and unique produce available in the South West”.

The new restaurant is located in the five star country manor house, Boringdon Hall Hotel, within the property’s historic main house. The restaurant itself is described as an “intimate dining room”.

Paton said: “I’m thrilled to be launching later this month, guests can expect a culinary journey led by the bounties of produce available to us in Devon.

“Àclèaf hopes to present a uniquely immersive dining experience in the South West, a place where guests can feel at ease in the restaurant-team’s hands and hotel’s historic surroundings.”
