Pembrokeshire restaurant Paternoster Farm is set to close in April, with operations moving to The Old Point House pub following a tenancy dispute with the local council.
The relocation to Angle, situated six miles from the current site in Hundleton, follows a 12-month period of uncertainty regarding the farm’s tenancy with Pembrokeshire County Council.
A Kickstarter campaign has launched today, 27 February 2026, to fund the refurbishments required for the new venue.
The new site will include a dedicated bakehouse for bread and takeaway products, alongside a restaurant menu consistent with the previous field-to-fork model.
The hospitality team, led by Michelle Evans, plans to update the interior and bar areas of the pub ahead of the summer season.
Paternoster Farm was established in 2015 and transitioned from a farm shop into a restaurant located in a former milking parlour. The business specialised in a daily-changing menu using produce from its own smallholding, including beef, pork, and seasonal vegetables.
The final day for bookings at the current Hundleton site is 17 April 2026. The move to The Old Point House offers long-term security for the hospitality arm of the business, which had been affected by delays in a local authority farm policy review.
Evans said: “Paternoster Farm began as a small farm shop during the lockdowns and grew organically into something far bigger than we ever imagined. But over the past year, the ongoing uncertainty around our tenancy has been exhausting for our whole family and our team.
“When The Old Point House opportunity arose, we gave it a lot of thought. Ultimately it felt like such a good fit that we couldn’t turn it down; not least because it offers long-term security for the hospitality side of what we do. It’s also personal: I grew up here. This peninsula is home.”
Evans added: “The funds will help us get the pub ready in time to be open for the busy summer months. We’ll be putting our own stamp on the place and making it warmer, cosier and more inviting, with a pub offer built around brilliant local produce and drinks.”
Lloyd James, estate director for The Angle Estate, concluded: “We are delighted to welcome Michelle as our new tenant and look forward to working together. Paternoster Farm is known for excellent food and hospitality, and we are sure that reputation will continue to grow at The Old Point House.”
