Bar and restaurant operator, New World Trading Company (NWTC), has reported that its revenues hit a record £73.5m in the year to 31 March 2024.
The group, which operates 27 bars and restaurants across the UK, primarily under its main brand The Botanist, also delivered a 20% increase in underlying EBITDA for the period.
Over the past year, NWTC had established a new leadership team, which has been credited with “placing The Botanist at the heart of its growth plans”.
Amber Wood, managing director of NWTC, said: “2024 marked the start of a new chapter in our company history, with a strengthened leadership team and streamlined focus on The Botanist brand.”
Since the year-end, NWTC has opened three new locations and converted five former single-site brands to The Botanist concepts. According to the group, these conversions have increased like-for-like sales by an average of 16%.
New World Trading Company operates 24 sites under the group’s leading brand, The Botanist, alongside three complementary single-site brands: The Oast House in Manchester; The Florist in Watford; and The Trading House in London.
Wood added: “We’re delighted that the First Dates team have again chosen to film the latest series of the popular Channel 4 show at our beautiful Bath location, showcasing the strength of The Botanist brand.
“We’ve got a lot to be excited about in the coming months including an exciting rebranding project and we can’t wait to share the next phase of The Botanist’s journey with our guests, this spring.”
