A new Afro-fusion restaurant has opened on Chapel Street in Manchester after a fully booked launch weekend.
Chillz Restaurant Bar and Lounge, which first opened in Failsworth in 2020, has moved into a two-level venue behind the National Football Museum.
The site includes two dining rooms seating more than 100 guests, a VIP lounge and outdoor space for about 40 people. Management said the venue is designed to host late-night events alongside regular dining.

The launch featured R&B, soul and Afro-beat performances, as well as DJ sets. The restaurant said the programme was intended to showcase how live music will form part of its weekend offer.
Chillz said it aims to bring African-influenced dishes to a broader audience with a menu that includes grilled fish and tiger prawn fried rice. Cocktails and other drinks sit alongside the food offer, with late-night sessions planned each weekend.

My business partner, Tee, and I always knew we had a unique concept but even we have been blown away by the demand for the experience Chillz offers.
