London-based duck restaurant, Monsieur Le Duck has announced it has moved to a new site in the city’s Clerkenwell area.

The move follows a tenure in Spitalfields Market over the last six months as a pop-up restaurant. Monsieur Le Duck will be opening its doors at it new site on Thursday 9 May 2019.

Monsieur Le Duck takes inspiration from the gastronomy of Gascony, and is enhancing its duck-focused menu with new additions including, Duck Wellington, Duck Steak Baguette and Moules Marinière, a traditional French dish. In addition, a selection of small plates will appear on the new menu, including Duck Rillettes with bread, cornichons and jam, Confit Duck Croquettes with chilli mayo or truffle, and Confit Duck Wings on celeriac remoulade.

A cocktail list will include Pousse Rapière (Orange & Armagnac liqueur, Vin Sauvage), and French Tonique (Gin, Chambord, Elderflower, liqueur, tonic).

The restaurant will be spread over two floors, with the ability to accommodate up to 80 people. The ground floor restaurant features a large central bar and in the summer, the indoors will spill out onto outside tables. Monsieur Le Duck also features an upstairs area, with private bar, for private functions and bookings.
