Miscusi has announced that it will debut its first UK restaurant outside of Italy at The Yards, Covent Garden, this autumn.

With 12 restaurants currently across seven Italian cities, the restaurant group said it has signed for a 4,190 sq ft unit at 23 Slingsby Place committing to the first phase of its international development across Europe.

In line with its sustainable mission and being committed to its new B Corp certification, once open, the 163-cover restaurant will work towards being plastic-free and zero waste, whilst eat-out delivery packages will be 100% recyclable.

Alberto Cartasegna, CEO, Miscusi, said: “We believe London is ready to embrace our purpose, bringing together people of all ages, and backgrounds, like a family around the same table. Eating together is the foundation of cultural identity, a moment of social exchange and communication that helps us look at the future with bright eyes.

“When searching for the first site in a new country it was crucial to find the right location to create a name for ourselves. We fell in love with The Yards destination instantly, and are certain we will feel right at home within its bustling streets and neighbourhood of other lifestyle brands within this close knit community.”
