Itsu has announced the opening of its first ever franchise restaurant, located at the Reading Gate Retail Park.

Launching on 9 August 2021, the new site will support over 30 jobs through both its ‘grab and go’ and dine-in experiences.

The franchise restaurant will span 2,970 sq ft, seating up to 160 customers at extended opening hours.

Moreover, the venue is set to feature order and pay screens and card only payments, with orders able to be placed in under 40 seconds.

Ganan Kanagathurai, CEO at Itsu, said: “Located just off the M4 and a short trip from the city centre and football stadium, Reading Gate Retail Park is the perfect location for itsu to engage a new audience that is looking for affordable dining.

“We are very excited to be expanding itsu’s presence in Reading and demonstrating to the local community what eating beautiful looks like.”

Julian Metcalfe, founder of the Asian inspired brand, added: “The contemporary design of the new restaurant complements the healthy and moreish Asian-inspired dishes.

“The menu features exciting affordable dining options, ideal for family meals or romantic dinners. Diners can enjoy a copious range of healthy options, with the kitchen relying on pressure cooking and steaming, to tantalise the taste buds.”
