Greek cuisine restaurant Hera is set to open its doors on 21 November 2024 at Stratford Cross.

Named after the Greek goddess, the new site is a 200 seater restaurant and boasts a colour palette of warm aubergine, copper and gold.

The restaurant’s menu is divided into four sections, namely ‘To Begin’, ‘The Garden’, ‘The Farm’, and ‘The Sea’.

To Begin features sample classic mezze, including anchovies, Kalamata olives, and dips like Tarama, Tzatziki, and Melitzanao Salata (Smoked Aubergine with Thyme and Honey).

Meanwhile, The Garden celebrates all that is grown from the ground and includes classic hits such as Vegetable Moussaka, Gemista (stuffed courgettes) and Feta Sagnaki.

The Farm section of the menu includes the likes of Grilled Baby Chicken with Herb Salt, Beef Meatballs and Lamb Chops.

Lastly, The Sea offers dishes such as Grilled Octopus, Wild Sea Bass and of course Calamari.

The new site also features a Cocktail Lounge located at the front of the restaurant. Guests can choose from Hera signature cocktails including Helen of Spice (a twist on a Spicy Margarita) and Dates in Crete (a twist on an Old Fashioned) or Nymph Minthe and Karpuzi Island.

Additionally, the restaurant’s wine list includes wines from Santorini’s Assyrtiko to Cabernet Sauvignon, of Kokotos.
