Granger and Co’s restaurateur, Bill Granger, has announced the opening of its fifth venue, which will be opening this August in Marylebone

Granger reportedly made London his full-time base back in 2011 when he opened the first Granger and Co all-day dining restaurant in Notting Hill.

The address of the new Granger and Co venue used to be Maison Sagne, a local patisserie that first opened in 1921, which Granger has reportedly taken inspiration from for his restaurant’s “light and airy” design. The restaurant will seat 85 people and has a double-height, sky-lit atrium, which was designed by Sydney-based Jules Meacham and Bruce Nockles.

The menu is said to “naturally exude all the freshness and flavours” for which Granger’s dishes have become globally renowned, which are inspired by his life in Melbourne and Sydney, as well as his travels around the world, from Sicily to LA, Bangkok to Mexico, and the locations of his restaurants in Sydney, Tokyo, Seoul and London.

Granger said: “I spend half my time in Marylebone – it’s the perfect neighbourhood, with an embracing local feel, where we’ll have wonderful fellow neighbours like La Fromagerie, The Ginger Pig, David Mellor, Daunt Books and The Conran Shop, as well as Caseley-Hayford, Perfumer H, Bella Freud, Trunk and Monocle on Chiltern Street nearby.”
