Italian to go brand Coco di Mama has announced it is opening a new site in Reading this month, its first outside of London.

The new store will commence trading on 10 February 2023 on Broad St in Reading. It will also offer office catering from 20 February 2023.

The company currently has 14 flagship stores in London, 140 delivery kitchens across the country, and retail products available in Sainsburys.

Jim Attwood, managing director, said: “We’re really excited that Reading will be our first flagship store outside of London, as part of our regional expansion plans. We hope we can bring something exciting, new and generous to Reading high street’s customers, and a brand that also gives back to the local community.”

The site is being built according to the Gold Star Sustainable Fit Out criteria by the SRA
and the bespoke interior illustrations have been commissioned by local artist, Ray McGrother. The bespoke artwall will feature an illustrative representation of the river Kennet.

It has also employed and trained an entirely new team of Reading locals, and will be working closely with local food bank, ReadiFood to help distribute their food to those who need it the most, alongside an optional £1 donation for their Free Pasta Day.
