On behalf of a private client, Savills has brought restaurant Churches Mansion’s freehold to market for a guide price of £1.85m to be sold as a going concern.

The restaurant, which is located in Nantwich, Cheshire, is a Grade I-listed detached, two storey Tudor building dating back to 1577.

Churches Mansion underwent a full refurbishment in 2019 and now provides a total of 200 covers across the ground and first floor, with a fully equipped kitchen and a large enclosed garden, as well as additional trading space.

In addition, the building also houses a four bedroom owner’s accommodation with kitchen, bathroom, living room and office, which offers the potential for a fifth bedroom.

According to Savills, the property is a popular wedding venue and is fully licensed for civil ceremonies.

Tom Cunningham, director of hotels and licensed leisure at Savills, said: “Churches Mansion combines outstanding hospitality with historic, local character, so we are delighted to bring this fantastic restaurant to market.

“The current owners have fully refurbished the property to an exceptionally high standard, including a high spec professional kitchen as well as excellent living accommodation, and we look forward to welcoming offers from prospective buyers.”
