Chopstix has continued its 2022 expansion plan with its latest site set to open in Derby later this month.
The new site on St Peter’s Street is the latest Chopstix store to open under the management of franchisee RTL who already operate five other locations across the UK, with ambitions to open two more by the end of the year.
In 2022 Chopstix plans to open at least 12 new stores, through a mix of directly owned and operated stores (equity stores), and also in concert with partners as the company continues to grow in the franchise space.
Established in Camden Market in 2002 by entrepreneurs Sam Elia and Menashe Sadik, Chopstix celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
Aaron Moore-Saxton, marketing director for Chopstix, said: “The East Midlands is one of Chopstix highest performing regions in the UK, so we’re thrilled to be increasing our footprint here, and are able to open a store in this wonderful, historic city.
“RTL has long been one of our most important franchise partners, operating some markedly strong performing sites so I’m very pleased the team have added the Derby site to their portfolio, and have eyes on growing further with us. I have no doubt the Derby store will be a huge success.”
