Trust Inns has announced the acquisition of The Bear Inn, which is located on Walliscote Road, just two minutes from the Weston-super-Mare seafront and town centre.

The operator of pubs has acquired the business as an investment opportunity, as it is expected to produce £62,400 per annum.

The inn first opened in 2012 and trades as a public house. It consists of two bars, a skittle alley and 23 guest rooms.

A spokesperson from Trust Inns said: “We continue to seek and acquire pubs and diversified pub business nationwide, which offer opportunities for growth, development and longevity in the sector.

“The Bear fits with our objectives and we are pleased to welcome it into our estate.”

Richard Wood, regional director at Christie and Co, who handled the sale, added: “I am delighted to have acted on behalf of Kroll Advisory, on the sale of The Bear Inn to Trust Inns.

“The property attracted strong interest resulting in a best and final bid process, culminating in multiple bids. This shows the renewed demand we are seeing across the south for tenanted pubs.”
