Spalding inn to reopen under new ownership

The Red Lion Hotel in Market Place, Spalding is set to reopen its doors from Monday 19 April with a new owner.
The news follows the decision by long-time owner of the inn, Nigel Wilkins, who will be retiring after 35 years at the helm.
Wilkins will now be succeeded by Jeremy Powel who is “looking forward to welcoming customers, old and new”.
The pub will be open every day, except for Tuesday and Saturday, from 11am to 7pm and will be offering a range of drinks including a new selection of gins, beers and wines together with coffee and tea.
In a published statement, the group said: “Obviously we will be adhering to the ‘rule of 6’ or 2 families, so please help us get started safely and stick to the rules.
“Do come and see us, we’re so looking forward to welcoming everyone back and feel free to share the good news with your friends.”
