Stonegate Pub Partners has invested £12m in its pub estate in the first quarter of its financial year, marking the largest quarterly spend by the leased and tenanted arm of Stonegate Group.
The company said the investment was directed at upgrading pubs across the UK and forms part of a wider programme aimed at supporting its publicans and maintaining pubs as community venues.
Stonegate Pub Partners also confirmed a development pipeline of more than £30m for the remainder of the year, taking planned investment to over £40m. The pipeline includes preparations for the launch of a new co-investment scheme in early 2026.
The proposed scheme is expected to focus on targeted improvements to pub interiors, increased use of outdoor trading areas and readiness for major sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup in 2026.
Alongside property investment, the business said it continued to spend on tools and systems designed to support publicans in running their businesses. These include its Trade on Tap online ordering platform and updates to its Pub Hub and My Pub systems, which provide performance data and operational information.
Dan Castle, managing director of Stonegate Pub Partners, said: “Our record Q1 spend and £40m pipeline reflects our ongoing commitment to being a supportive, long-term partner to our publicans.
“We have a diverse estate of businesses, each rooted in their communities and run by entrepreneurial partners. Alongside property investment, we’re continuing to improve the systems and support our publicans need to succeed.”
Stonegate Group operates one of the UK’s largest pub estates, with its Pub Partners division covering leased and tenanted sites.
