The Queens Head, a pub with rooms in Hawkshead, has reopened following its new pub and guest bedrooms refurbishment.

The listed pub, one of Robinsons’ Individual Inns pub collection, offers “premium pub accommodation” alongside food and drinks.

The sixth-generation family brewers have invested significant capital into the improvements of the pub.

The pub now boasts low ceilings, exposed beams and lighter wooden features.

According to Robinsons, it was important to maintain the heritage of the pub and the investment team worked closely with the listed building offices to ensure they preserved the history of the pub.

Being in the centre of the Lake District, the design team have taken inspiration from “iconic” names in the area such as William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter in the pub décor.

Robinsons said: “For all those getaway lovers, the Queens Head has brand new bedrooms to unwind in and enjoy a night of peace in the tranquillity of the Lakes. With brand new bedrooms adjacent to the pub, each room takes inspiration from local nature with botanical wallpapers, warm tones and rustic oak woodwork for that traditional farmhouse feel.”
