The asking price for the Poachers Inn in Bollington, Cheshire has been reduced to £795,000 by sellers Christie and Co.

Featuring a main pub and restaurant area, as well as a beer garden, the pub offers an extensive range of traditional cask and local ales.

The Poachers Inn has been owned and operated by Rob and Helen Ellwood for the last 24 years, who are now looking to retire.

Given its proximity to the Peak District National Park, the inn is a common pitstop for the many passing cyclists and hikers.

The Ellwoods said: “Living in such a wonderful area with an amazing supportive community has made it a pleasure to call The Poachers home for the last 24 years. However, we now feel it’s time to move on and allow the business to continue to thrive under new ownership.”

Keith Stringer, director at Christie and Co, said: “This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a popular business in an affluent North West village. A new operator could take full advantage by increasing the current opening hours with the possibility of converting the upper floor accommodation into five en suite lettings rooms, subject to planning.”
