Fashion retailer Prada has opened its first Prada Caffè pop-up at Harrods for a limited time only.
The new pop-up at Knightsbridge will serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, small bites and aperitivo.
Inside, the walls, ceilings and velvet-upholstered sofas and armchairs are coloured with the brand’s iconic green. The floors reproduce the black-and-white chequered floor of the historic Prada boutique on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, while the floral bas-reliefs on the walls evoke some of Prada’s flagship stores across the world.
Pale-blue Japanese porcelain with a “striking: double black line and crystal glasses with the iconic Prada triangle symbol are examples of the tableware that Prada hand-selected to match the surroundings.
The menu includes a “modern take on Italian tradition”.
Breakfast includes Italian coffee with poached eggs and puff pastries, while the lunch menu features starters and mains ranging from burrata and zucchini to spinach and ricotta cannelloni with black truffle.
It also serves some quick snacks like tramezzini (dainty sandwiches) and pizzettes (mini puff pizzas).
Customers can also choose from a list of wine spanning from Piedmont to Sicily or opt for a signature cocktail
Patisseries and desserts like the pistachio cake with pistachio croccantino and cream, sponge cake and vanilla cream are displayed on the “grand” central counter and back wall.
The cafe will be open until 7 January 2024.
