Yard Sale has announced the appointment of Stephen Hollis as its new chief executive officer to lead the company through the next phase of growth.
Hollis joins the pizza chain with more than 25 years of experience working with hospitality brands. He previously served as operations director at Soul Foods Group, overseeing 90 Starbucks sites, and has held senior roles at Nando’s and MSG, one of the UK’s largest Domino’s Pizza franchisees with more than 200 outlets.
According to Yard Sale, Hollis’ appointment supports plans to expand from 15 to 40 sites over the next five years, as the company looks to strengthen its management team and reach new audiences both inside and outside London.
Founder Johnnie Tate will move into a new role as non-executive founder, focusing on brand and property strategy. Tate said the business is “in a brilliant position” and that he was “very excited for the next phase of growth”.
The company also confirmed plans to open a new shop in East Finchley in early 2026 and said it is in talks over several additional London sites.
Yard Sale reported positive like-for-like sales growth in the first half of the year. It said recent collaborations with Zipcar, Lime Bike, Brooklyn Brewery and Dishoom have supported trading momentum.
