A restaurant owner has labelled an online reviewer an “epic fool” and a “moron” after they turned up without a reservation and subsequently left a bad TripAdvisor review after storming out in “disgust”.

In the review the would-be customer, Jeff P, said: “The server was so rude and made us feel so awkward”, and explained that they had first asked the chef if the restaurant was open and then sat down at a free table. They also mentioned that the restaurant staff had “glared at us like we had just walked into her home uninvited”.

The restaurant escalated the feud by taking to Twitter to insult the reviewer’s dress sense and calling them a number of names.

The owners have run the bistro for five years and have won numerous awards for their restaurant.
