McDonald’s UK and Ireland has extended its partnership with Uber Direct, Uber’s white-label delivery solution, as it aims to increase the number of customers using its mobile app.
Uber Direct, which utilises the UberEats courier network, will be a critical UK partner as McDonald’s aims to continue growing delivery orders through its app.
Its technology allows McDonald’s customers to track delivery from their local restaurant to their door and access 24/7 customer service if additional support is ever required.
Simon Duffy, delivery director, McDonald’s UK and Ireland, said: “McDonald’s is building a digital ecosystem that empowers us to create more personalised experiences and connect with our customers throughout their McDonald’s journey like never before.
“As part of this journey, we are excited to continue our partnership with Uber Direct, our trusted MyMcDonald’s app delivery partner. Together we can continue to delight our customers by allowing them to order their McDonald’s favourites straight to their door.”
Caroline Varga, head of Uber Direct UK and Ireland, added: “We’re very proud of our partnership with McDonald’s and delighted that this collaboration will now continue. The growing popularity of McDelivery has been fantastic to witness first-hand. McDonald’s and Uber Direct are both ambitious companies that want to build on that success.
“We are now focused on taking our partnership to the next stage as we look to help McDonald’s achieve its global targets.”
