Wasabi to open new Cheapside restaurant amid London expansion
Founded in 2003, Wasabi operates restaurants and grocery products across the UK and is positioning itself among the country’s leading quick-service food brands

Sushi and bento chain Wasabi has announced that it is set to open a new restaurant in Cheapside on 21 October, expanding its presence in central London.
Located close to St Paul’s Cathedral, the site will serve customers in the City’s business district, offering both dine-in and takeaway options.
The opening marks Wasabi’s 34th location in the capital and forms part of the company’s wider investment in UK growth.
Wasabi chief executive Henry Birts said: “Cheapside represents another important step in our London expansion. The City remains a key area for us, and this new central site reinforces our commitment to growing our footprint in locations where we know there’s strong demand for fresh, high-quality, great-value food.”
This new opening follows the launch of the brand’s first franchise outlet at Luton Airport earlier this year in partnership with global travel retailer, Lagardère Travel Retail.
