Honeymoon Desserts has opened its first European flagship site on a lease at 33 Shaftesbury Avenue, London

The new restaurant, which comprises 1,303 sq ft and is spread over ground and basement floors, is in the heart of London’s West End and a stone’s throw away from Chinatown

Neighbours of the new dessert parlour include Leon, Caffe Concerto, and the Apollo and Gielgud Theatres.

Designed to integrate modernism and Chinese culture, the new location will provide “a cosy and warm setting for visitors”.

Olly Eades, associate in Central London retail at Savills, said: “Shaftesbury Avenue provides the perfect location for Honeymoon Desserts’ first European site: just last month we saw tens of thousands of people flock to this vibrant destination in celebration of the Chinese New Year, and international tourism in the West End has almost recovered to pre-pandemic levels.

“The new site will be an excellent springboard for its UK expansion, as it looks to strengthen its presence in this new market.”
