Ballymena-based bakery Dougie’s Goodies has secured its first food service contract after agreeing a supply deal with McKeever Hotels.
The agreement will see the long-established bakery, founded in 1983, provide traybakes, pastries and iced buns to all six McKeever Hotels across Northern Ireland.
The move marks Dougie’s Goodies’ first step into the hospitality sector, building on its existing supply network of more than 80 retail outlets.
The partnership also supports McKeever Hotels’ commitment to sourcing products locally and working with businesses close to its hotel sites.
Stella Grant, group procurement manager at McKeever Hotels, stated that the collaboration began as a pilot project at the Adair Arms Hotel in Ballymena before being expanded across the group.
She said: “While our hotels are renowned for conferences, weddings, and award ceremonies, they’re also popular as relaxed coffee-shop settings for catchups with friends and family or informal business meetings. Such occasions are only complete with a delicious locally made tray-bake.
“The range provided by Dougie’s Goodies not only complements this experience but reflects our ‘best of local’ approach. We’re proud to partner with such a progressive local business and look forward to rolling this initiative out across our six hotels in Northern Ireland.”
Johnny Hunter, commercial director at Dougie’s Goodies, added: “We’re really excited to launch our first venture into the food service world with McKeever Hotels. Together we’ve created a range that’s all about great coffee, delicious goodies and that welcoming atmosphere customers enjoy.”
