Gelato brand Badiani has announced it is expanding with new openings in Lakeside Shopping Centre, Essex this May and Duke Street, Brighton, in June.
The new Essex branch will be the chain’s first location outside of London and will officially open on Friday 26 May, while the Brighton site will open on Friday 9 June.
The company, which is primarily London-based, has gained a reputation for its authentic artisanal gelato that is available in 16 seasonal varieties at both outlets, alongside its newly-launched gelato burgers, pinguinos, crepes and waffles.
In addition to the new openings, Badiani has plans to further expand its business-to-business offering, supplying products to restaurants, hotels and events throughout the UK.
Founded in Florence in 1932, Badiani has nine shops across London, as well as Barcelona and Sotogrande.
Massimo Franchi, CEO of Badiani Gelato, said: “I am thrilled that we are expanding our business throughout the UK. These two openings are just the tip of the iceberg in our ambitious expansion plans for the UK and Europe.
“We are looking forward to bringing an authentic Italian gelato experience to new customers outside of London.”
