Catering provider Graysons has received a RaisingNutrition Accreditation for its food service at the Francis Crick Institute in central London.
The award recognises organisations committed to improving nutrition standards and encouraging healthier eating. Graysons serves around 900 staff at the medical research centre.
The accreditation highlights caterers that promote more nutritious food options as the default in workplace environments, where many employees consume up to two-thirds of their daily calories.
Ian Wheatley, operations support manager at Graysons, said: “Gaining this accreditation has brought the team together, sharpening our focus on offering healthier food and drink options to our customers. We had fantastic support from the RaisingNutrition team and are thrilled with the results.”
The RaisingNutrition scheme aims to reduce illness and absenteeism and improve workplace wellbeing by backing food providers that support sustained energy, better concentration and cognitive performance.
Graysons said it plans to extend the accreditation to more of its sites.
