Cooks Coffee Company has reported that store sales rose by 26.4% to £35.1m in the year ended 31 March 2025, with fourth quarter sales having jumped 35% to £9.5m due to strong trading momentum.

It comes as the operator of the Esquires coffee chain expanded its estate in the year, from 75 to 89 in the UK and Ireland, as well as saw continued growth in operating cash flow as a result of increased demand.

During the year, Esquires was awarded the 2025 EU Business Irish Enterprise Award for ‘Organic Coffee Shop Enterprise of the Year’, which recognised its dedication to sustainability and high-quality organic coffee across the UK and Ireland.

In addition, the group refinanced its debt with the Bank of New Zealand, which reduced Cooks Coffee’s ongoing finance costs and provided further funding to support its operations and strategic initiatives.

As a result, Cooks Coffee has a “strong” pipeline of new store openings planned in the UK, with additional off-shore opportunities being explored.

Keith Jackson, executive chairman of Cooks Coffee Company, said: “We are pleased to report another strong period of trading across our business with positive growth. We maintain our commitment to have more than 100 stores operating in the UK and Ireland by the end of this calendar year.

“As a result of the anticipated growth, the group’s healthy balance sheet and the strong trading momentum, we are confident about the future prospects of the group.”
